Tip-toeing behind the likes of indie/electro-pop predecessors Passion Pit, Friendly Fires & Miike Snow are ‘Fenech Soler’ – the latest wonderkids to emerge from the UK underground. Tipped by Time Out as, “The future of white dancefloor-scorching electro-funk”, I feel safe in prophesying that these boys will be the next ‘it’ band.
Their first single ‘Lies’ is a joyride through the 80’s with funky synth lines, dance grooves and disco beats. It’s everything you love from other indie-pop luminaries fused into one – Fenech-Soler.
Their debut album, also called ‘Lies’, is due out November 2nd.
